Jura Tastival 2015

Jura Tastival 2015 is een gelimiteerde single malt whisky, uitgebracht ter ere van het jaarlijkse Tastival-festival op het eiland Jura. Gedistilleerd in 1997 en gebotteld in 2015, rijpte deze bijzondere expressie in barriques van mousserende wijn uit het Franse Loire-dal, afkomstig van Bouvet Ladubay.

Het resultaat is een karaktervolle whisky met aroma’s van gestoofd fruit, donkere chocolade en een vleugje zeezout. In de smaak komen tonen van zwarte bessen, gember en notenhout naar voren, met een lange, fruitige afdronk. Gebotteld op vatsterkte (52%) en beperkt tot slechts 3.970 flessen van 70 cl. Voor Nederland zijn slechts 12 flessen beschikbaar.

Jura Tastival 2015 is a limited edition single malt whisky released to celebrate the island’s annual Tastival festival. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2015, this unique expression was finished in sparkling wine barriques from Bouvet Ladubay in France’s Loire Valley.

The result is a characterful whisky with notes of stewed fruit, dark chocolate and a hint of sea salt. On the palate, blackcurrant, ginger and nutty oak unfold into a long, fruity finish. Bottled at cask strength (52%) in 70 cl bottles, with only 12 bottles available for the Netherlands.
